Meet the
Team

Paul graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in 1986 and went on to establish the Practice in Templepatrick in 1995. As the principal and owner, he has remained committed to delivering exceptional dental care to the local community and surrounding areas for 3 decades.

In addition to his clinical work at the practice, where he is present two days per week, Paul holds a position as a clinical supervisor at the School of Dentistry. In this role, he takes great pride in mentoring and educating dental students, helping to shape the future of the profession.

Outside of his professional commitments, Paul is an avid rugby and golf enthusiast. He and his wife, Wendy, enjoy travelling and spending time with their four grown-up children, who are currently based in various parts of the world.

Laura has been a dedicated member of the team at Templepatrick Dental since qualifying from Queen’s University Belfast in 2003.
Over this time, she has enjoyed building relationships with her patients and strives to make their visits as relaxed as possible.

She focuses on conservative, minimally invasive dentistry and takes great pride in providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients.
Outside of her professional commitments, Laura enjoys spending quality time with her family. She is also an avid supporter of the Belfast Giants ice hockey team, regularly attending their games.

Vicki Smith graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2007 and has been providing high-quality dental care ever since. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles.

In addition to her dental work, Vicki also offers facial aesthetic treatments, combining her clinical skill with a keen eye for detail to deliver natural-looking results.

Outside of work, Vicki is married with two young daughters and loves spending quality time with her family. She also enjoys swimming and staying active.

Vicki’s calm, friendly manner and professional approach make her a valued member of the team and a trusted choice for patients of all ages.

Peter graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2017 with a distinction in the Practice of Dentistry. Since then, he has completed courses with international and world-renowned dentists to refine his skills in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Including, Mini Smile Makeover and Sure Smile clear aligner courses.

Providing people with the smile they have always wanted to achieve in a minimally invasive manner is what Peter enjoys! He achieves this through techniques such as composite bonding, veneers, simple orthodontics, restoration of implants and the reconstruction of broken worn teeth.

Peter is always aiming for perfection and he strives to provide his patients with high quality dentistry in a gentle and caring manner.

Outside of dentistry Peter enjoys mountain biking, attending his CrossFit gym and going on holidays with his young family.

Orlagh graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2017. She went on to complete her postgraduate training in Liverpool, where she continued to work for five years before returning closer to home. Orlagh joined the team at Templepatrick Dental in 2022.

A highly skilled and compassionate dentist, Orlagh is dedicated to providing minimally invasive treatments that help restore her patients’ smiles and confidence. She has a particular interest in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry, and has been a certified Invisalign provider since 2020.

Committed to delivering the highest standard of care, Orlagh’s motivation for post graduate study is to keep up to date with advances in dentistry, particularly restorative dentistry.

Orlagh is highly regarded among her peers and has consistently shown the ability to establish an excellent rapport with patients and staff.

James graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2020. Since then he has completed exams to become a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons. He has completed additional training in aesthetic composite restorations and Invisalign and has a keen interest in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry.

He worked in Merseyside for a number of years before moving to Belfast with his wife Christina in 2023. He joined Templepatrick Dental Practice in September 2024.

Outside of his professional commitments, James is keen snowboarder, cyclist and tennis player. He and his wife, Christina, enjoy travelling and are looking forward to welcoming their first child later this year.

Jane qualified from Queen’s University Belfast School of Dentistry in 2010 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene. Committed to lifelong learning, she went on to complete a Master’s degree with the University of South Wales in 2022. Jane is passionate about promoting oral health and delivering high-quality care to her patients.

Outside of her professional life, Jane enjoys a full and active home life with her husband Michael and their two sons, Christian and Theo. As a family, they love spending time together with their pets, enjoying holidays, sports, and music.
